La fotografia è il modo in cui guardo il mondo da quando ero poco più che ragazzo. Non è mai stata solo un lavoro: è il motivo per cui salgo in montagna all'alba, resto ore su una spiaggia ad aspettare la luce giusta, o porto un drone sopra un paesaggio che voglio vedere da un'altra prospettiva. Ogni scatto è un tentativo di fermare qualcosa che altrimenti sparirebbe, ed è questa ricerca continua che non mi ha mai fatto smettere.
Tra il 2019 e il 2021 questa passione mi ha portato a pubblicare Cethegus. La storia da raccontare con Lab DFG, un libro corale sul territorio di Latina realizzato insieme ad Antonio Politano, fotografo e giornalista di La Repubblica e National Geographic Italia. Negli anni ho anche insegnato fotografia, trasmettendo quello che avevo imparato sul campo a chi stava muovendo i primi passi.
Ho portato la mia macchina fotografica ovunque: dai droni con cui rilevo il territorio ai grandi eventi dal vivo, dal tatami — sono cintura nera di judo — alle spedizioni in montagna. Continuo a imparare, sperimentare e viaggiare, convinto che ci sia sempre un'inquadratura che non ho ancora trovato.
Photography has been the way I look at the world since I was barely more than a kid. It was never just a job: it's the reason I climb mountains at dawn, wait for hours on a beach for the right light, or fly a drone over a landscape I want to see from another angle. Every shot is an attempt to hold on to something that would otherwise disappear, and that ongoing search is what has kept me going ever since.
Between 2019 and 2021 this passion led me to publish Cethegus. La storia da raccontare with Lab DFG, a collective book about the Latina area created together with Antonio Politano, photographer and journalist for La Repubblica and National Geographic Italia. Over the years I've also taught photography, passing on what I'd learned in the field to those just starting out.
I've taken my camera everywhere: from drones surveying land to major live events, from the judo mat — I hold a black belt — to mountain expeditions. I keep learning, experimenting and traveling, convinced there's always one more frame I haven't found yet.
